"Don't shine so others can see you. Shine so that through you, others can see Him."
That quote is more than my favorite saying, it's the way I want to live.
I believe every ability I have is a gift from God, and my goal is to steward my giftedness faithfully while pointing others to Christ. Whether I'm competing on the basketball court, serving at church, or spending time with family and friends, I want my life to reflect excellence, humility, and integrity.
I play for 7 Days Basketball club. Basketball has been a passion of mine since I was young. I've trained consistently since I was five years old, and I love the process of improving every day. I'm a student of the game who enjoys learning, being coached, and helping my teammates succeed. As a point guard, I take pride in making the right play, defending with intensity, leading by example, and doing whatever it takes to help my team win.
My faith is the foundation of everything I do. I've attended Foothill Bible Church my entire life and have the privilege of serving in the children's ministry as a teacher's assistant. I enjoy studying God's Word, playing the piano, listening to Christian hip-hop, and continuing to grow as a follower of Christ. My favorite subjects in school are Bible and History because I love learning how God has worked throughout history and how His truth shapes the way we live today.
My family has sacrificed so much to help me pursue my dreams, and I'll always be grateful for their love, encouragement, and example. They've taught me that character and conduct matter more than recognition and that true success is measured by faithfulness.
People who know me would probably describe me as lighthearted, dependable, and encouraging. I have 3 sisters that keep me humble. I can take competition seriously, but I don't take myself too seriously. I believe joy, humility, and gratitude make better teammates and better people.
"Whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." — 1 Corinthians 10:31
